I guess it was the influence of the PIERSE family that brought that change. Have you ever found out what happened to Marian nee PIERSE and the other daughter Alice? I have hunted high and low to try to find Grace after about 1909 when Charles CHERRY gave her name as his relative in London. There are a few more avenues I will try tomorrow but I am thinking she met someone else and went off to the Continent! Interesting that Walter's brother also came out to Oz...I haven't done any work on the early DUDLEY's as it took all day to find what I found today...its hard work when they gallivant about like this :-)) anyway, I hope I have found enough to keep you busy for a long while...but if you find Marian and the girls, do post back as I'd love to know.
