His parents emigrated to South Australia and he was last heard of in 1855 in Blumberg (Birdwood). There is no records of his death or marriage in SA, as a godparent or member of the wedding parties for his siblings. Perhaps he was lured to the Goldfields - as many others from SA were. Where do I start to unravel this hypothesis - are there any Victorian records for a William/Wilhelm/Bill Krueger/Kruger? (He was known by his middle name). I'm looking for a few starting points.
