However, I did find at least 8 chn to Louisa and Wm which you probably have. The child John Hillgrove Polglase 1871-1872 which you thought was illeg., I suspect the father might be a John Hillgrove unless this is a family name. Also Polglases were Methodists from Wm James 1892-1916 AIF record so would have thought them to marry: however said Wm James was sought for desertion of illeg. child 1914. No marriage that I can find b/n Louisa and Wm. Have you purchased their death certs? Might say when and where they married although not always reliable.
