Not sure if you got my email on Saturday.....so I will re-post Hi Laurel I found a Tree on Ancestry that shows 2 children ( out of 16!)for Augustus named : Louisa DeSilva Messenger 1876 - George DeSilva Messenger 1871 - 1872 Plus Cecilia Annie Messenger 1866 - 1867 Its seems to me the maiden name was DeSilva..I noticed Augustus used maiden names of his wife as well when naming his children - there are no Smith or Jennings used as middle names Do you have them in the censuses??
