Hi, I'm trying to help a friend find more about her grandmother:- Violet May Cook born 1897, Melbourne Father, Henry Ernest Cook Mother, Mary Ann Long Violet married Stanley Lloyd Collisson 1918 in Vict. Born 1897 Father, George James Collisson Mother, Alice Folkes Alice and Stanley were still living together in 1931 at Hotham Street Melbourne but sometime after that they separated. As far as I can find Stanley seems to have returned to NSW where I believe he died in Sydney about 1962. It is believed Violet remarried but I haven't been able to find any remarriage for her and it seems she remained in Victoria possibly Bendigo but not certain about that. Any help in finding what happened to Violet or any contact with her family would be much appreciated. Regards Cecily Smith Brisbane

There are few Violet May girls in Bendigo - you would have to sort through them all I think....she may not have re-married - may have just lived with someone and adopted his surname.
