Very pleased and interested to read your email. The only reason i can think of for the 3 brothers to leave Suffolk, was that Elijah and Benjamin were both Mariners,and that their sailing travels had taken them to Australia. Now the other brother that went with them was William born abt 1821.For some reason he changed his name to Robert when he got to Australia, . He did have an older brother called Robert,maybe that was why. William/Robert is listed as servant on 1851 census, and i know the family were poor,so i think the 3 brothers decided to start a new life in Australia. What a good decision. Jennifer.
