Author: Jocelyn1411 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.oceania.australia.vic.general/10993.4/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Hi again Further to my recent discovery, I have found the birth record for the son born 1860: Name: Alexander Archibald Mc Intosh Gender: Male Birth Date: 28 Nov 1860 Birthplace: PERTH,PERTH,SCOTLAND Father's Name: Alexander Mc Intosh Mother's Name: Sarah Nicholson also - found someone else researching this family and nearly everything I have spent hours on has already been found - back in 2007!! never mind..here is a bit more you may need: Alex and Sarah arrived in Victoria Australia July 1852 aboard "MERMAID" (just the two of them) Agnes McIntosh aged 6, James McIntosh aged 1 John McIntosh aged 4 and Mary McIntosh aged 40 going back to the UK March 1858 aboard "Frances Henty", their destination was London. I presume Mary was an aunt - and that 'John' is actually Charles John M SHIPPING INTELLIGENCE PORT OF PORTLAND. ARRIVED. Portland Guardian and Normanby General Advertiser (Vic. : 1842 - 1876) Monday 22 March 1858 Edition: EVENINGS. p 2 Detailed lists, results, guides ... Bird, steamer, White, for Melbourne March 20.-Frances Henty, ship, Cairn cross, for London. Passengers - .Mary McIntosh, Agnes Mclntosh, John McIntosh, James McIntosh, Thomas Howes, William Howes, George Mathewson. EXPORTS Per Lady Bird.--52 bales wool, 50.hogs heads ale.
