You need to state that this is the case. If so can you please give all the information on the marriage certificate of Boronia May HOLMES. That the only evidence that she has of my grandmother's mother is of her mother's Common Book of Prayers that had writing in the first page ( see image from previous post ). And of a painting of May Wright that Thomas William Henry Holmes, my grandmother's father, had it made with using a photo that he once had. For which the photo is long gone, and that my grandmother probably doesn't even have it. My grandmother knows that she was born in some private medical clinic in Sandringham, Victoria, Australia, but doesn't remember the name of the clinic, and that May Wright must have died during childbirth/complications of childbirth, since otherwise May would have taken my grandmother and raised it herself. Since it was Thomas who took my grandmother Dawn and raised it. We know there is no death record for May Wright and no birth for my grandmother because the family wanted to keep the affair a secret and that from what I heard from my grandmother that my grandmother's stepsisters destroyed everything they can of about May Wright and of the affair. and that with being born in a private medical clinic or centre, the doctors probably didn't bother to keep any records during that time. Birth date unknown but possibly on or about 1899 and died from childbirth or from complications of childbirth in Aug 1927. The only evidence that we know that the name is May Wright is from a Common Book of Prayers that my grandmother has kept. The writing on the first page from the prayer book " May Wright from W. Fowler, May 1915." Which makes us to believe that May Wright would have received this prayer book at age 16 during congregation/communion ( whatever the term is called ). For which she would have been born in 1899. May Wright died in Sandringham, Victoria, Australia or somewhere in Victoria, Australia in Aug 1927 in a private medical clinic. My grandmother Boronia May Dawn Holmes born in Melbourne or Sandringham, Victoria, Australia on 10 Aug 1927. My grandmother's father is Thomas William Henry Holmes. He and May Wright had an affair in 1927, Thomas at age 68 and May in her late 20s. Thomas and May never married since Thomas was already married to Blanche Emily Peregalli and had two daughters. There was no death record for May Wright when she died, and no birth record for my grandmother Dawn. But possibly a baptismal record for my grandmother, for which I will try to find when we visit my grandparents at some point. 3. Our new Court Records CDs 1837, 1838 and 1839 cover Victoria, as it was still part of NSW at the time, they may be of interest to some of the list members ...we also have released a CD for Deniliquin Court Records 1856 - 1875...check if your local family history have these records there were a few Victorian Family History Groups at the Deniliquin Genie Muster on the weekend and they have purchased the Cds. While indexing the Deniliquin Court Records we came across a marriage for a Joshua Sugden from Emerald Hill and also a birth certificate of Mary Ann Davis from Deniliquin sometimes mentioned as Davies....these were found in the packets for the court records....let me know if you are connected to these people. If you want to see if your family names are on the CDs go to our searchable data base, the link is on our website. www.teapotgenealogy.com Kaye Vernon
