What I am looking for specifically is any record of a marriage between my G Aunt Mary Pritchard and a Charles Stewart somewhere in Tasmania in 1912. From the records, it would appear that they had at least one child (Charles Thomas born 08/02/1914). However, there is also records for births to a Mary Ellen in 1912 and 1915 (Doris and John) I am not sure that the 1914 birth is not one belonging to Mary Ellen. My Mary had no second given name. My Mary was born in Carlton, Victoria on 16/12/1876 to Edward and Anastatia Pritchard (nee McGrath) and after that, she just seems to have disappeared from the records but there may be many reasons for this. Whilst I havent got any precise info on why this 1912 record should be "the" record, the fact that her mother passed away in 1911 was at least interesting. Does she get a mention in your records please. Thanks John Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. This has been a very confusing search, I have been in contact with Tyrone History and only one Leyden family lived in Tyrone, which is not my family, so we will stick to Clare. I will contact South Australia. Many thanks for your interest. Claire Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. "Hi My GGG Grandfather James Leyden came to australia with his sister Bridget in 1855, James settled in Port Melborne, I cant find any info on Bridget. they were from county Clare and their father was James I cant find mothers name, and only have info on James 1855 on wards. Could we be related?? many thanks Claire Leyden." I wonder why, you have changed the County from Clare (2010) to Tyrone (2014). The 1903 death certificate, for James LEYDEN, should state (if the informant knew), how many marriages, James had. Mary Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. My wife and I do indexing for the Ryerson Index but mainly for some NSW country towns. We live near Gosford in NSW. The St Arnaud paper has never been indexed for Ryerson and its not available for us to look at , at either the NSW or National Libraries. I also can’t find it to read via the internet. I need to live in Victoria to access the paper via the Victorian State Library I would like to index the St Arnaud paper and hope that a lister who receives the paper regularly might contact me so we can work out a way for us receiving any death, funeral or legal notices or obituaries. My interest comes from a distant family link. My gr gr grandmother’s brother, William Bray settled in St Arnaud and most of his 20 children were born there. The children all certainly lived there at some stage and several descendants are still in the district. David Central Coast NSW
I've been recording information about descendants of my branch of the LUTTRELL family for nearly 3 decades, so if anyone wishes to share information or to enquire about those records, please free to contact me. Quite happy to help out. Regards, Val Date P.S The Victorian branch settled mostly in the Geelong area in the mid to late 19th century. i
