I wonder if they are brothers to your Joseph Ambrose SMITH??? Name: Jno Millar Smith Mother: Margt Wright Father: Jno Smith Birth: abt 1850 Death: 1941 - Mord, Victoria Name: Wm Wright Smith Mother: Margt Wright Father: Smith Jno Birth: abt 1839 Death: 1898 - West Melbourne The son of William Wright SMITH, Robert Gordon Wallace SMITH, died Dec 1894. His funeral notice is in The Argus, 20 December 1894. W. W. SMITH was living at 26 Adderley Street, West Melbourne. I used, "26 Adderley" to search on Trove digitized newspapers, and came up with the death on 15 Oct 1898 (The Australasian 22.10.1898) of William WRIGHT SMITH, who was the second son of the late John SMITH, biscuit manufacturer, Melbourne. The death notice for John Millar SMITH was printed in many papers, in July 1941. It states that he was a native of Scotland and arrived in Victoria in 1857. Mary Ann Elizabeth Aylwin was born 14th May 1848 in Adelaide Street, in the parish of St Peters, Saint Albans, Hertfordshire, England. I have not found a marriage of Henry Aylwin to Catherine Maynard, nor have I found them in any census together. On Mary Ann Elizabeth Aylwin's birth certificate it says that Henry was a "Hawker". In the 1871 census Catherine says she is a "Widow" and she is living with Mary Ann Elizabeth. In the 1881 census Catherine says she is a widow and "formerly a Travellers Wife".
