(FROM OUR CORRESPONDENT.) TUESDAY EVENING. The prisoner William Harrison sentenced to death for the Elmore murder, is still re- ported to be in good health and spirits. John Duggan, the murdered man, owned over £700, and his estate will be administered by the curator of intestate estates. It is stated that a sister of Duggan makes a claim from Ireland for the property he left. There is a truly gruesome article about his death in the papers...mentions his age and 'Cornish parents'... The Argus (Melbourne, Vic. : 1848 - 1956) Tuesday 19 March 1889 You can google' Elmore Murder' or just their names and various items come up If you search the Trove website, try searching ' Harrison' then Bendigo in the ' any of these words' box http://trove.nla.gov.au/ndp/del/search?adv=y I hope this isn't too much information.... regards Jocelyn Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
