Yes, I did know Francis was married to Annie. I have daughter Florrie b1892 & a George William b1899 with Annie being shown as Hannah. Fantastic you found the shipping record. Somehow I thought Joseph Caster was a cousin, not a son? Knew nothing about the Geraint name - fantastic discovery. My email address is jgo52131@bigpond.net.au if you would like to email direct. This is fantastic and yes, would love to hear more, but some of it is delicate, that is why I gave you my email address. I found a shipping record for a Francis JENNINGS leaving Liverpool 1895, a baker, going to Melbourne ( says he is single!). Annie was living in Yorkshire for Geraint's birth, and later moved to London with Geraint( 1911 census)and called herself a widow in 1901 & 1911 & in 1911 says she would have been married 21 years and had 2 children. Joseph Caster JENNINGS remained in Yorkshire, working as a domestic gardener and boarding with someone.see more further below ( I finally unravelled the Geraint mystery thanks to a probate record) I found Francis JENNINGS, Emily, Doreen, shop proprietor, & Gladys, a milliner, living at 3 Station St Blackburn,Mitcham, Flinders in 1931 - he was a commercial traveller On finding them in 1931, I checked back and see Frank & Emily were living in the same area but in Railway St - Frank a comm trav'r (1919 )...and 1903 he was a baker ( so that fits with the shipping record), living with Emily at 110 Graham St Sth Melbourne! The only details we have of Manuel Muniz is his marriage cert to Louisa Sims in Creswick. There are 2 children born before Manuel and Lousia married , not unusuall for the time, There's no information of when Manuel Muniz arrived in Australia. Its hard to know about anything other his marriage cert as he could not read or write. Dont know if the children he had listed with Louisa Sims where his , or if he addopted them ?? There are children registered to Manuel Muniz and Louisa Sims. He was supposed to have a brother Francisco Muniz , [my ggg granfather] they where thought to have come! to Australia from Portugal. No trace of either arriving. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Another possible story is that she came to Queensland from England in 1887. She was born in 1862 at Westhampnett in Sussex to Frank Aylmore NORKETT and Jane AYLING. She had a brother named Willis Hurlstone NORKETT who was born in 1860. I see from your earlier enquiry that Annie says her father's name was Frank Earlstone NORKETT, so I think that is a fairly solid connection there. Father Frank died in 1864 so Lavinia would not have known him. The family can be followed in census records and on FreeBMD. It has been confirmed from a couple of other locals of Morgan that Daniel is out under the old cricket pich somewhere, I would love to know for sure.
