I cannot find them again until 1954 where Archibald is living at York Street with Edward and Isabel Hicks. I have found a birth for another sister Mary Ellen born 1907. You might be looking at electoral rolls online, and Louisa will not be there as Louisa Kidd because she married before she was old enough to vote. Who are the witnesses on the marriage certificate, and what church please? If you know that she was not brought up by her parents, and Agnes Ayers is given as name of mother, then you need to follow Agnes. She might be Ayers/Eyres/Eyers. Father's name on marriage cert. is Archibald Kidd? Sometimes in those days when parents were unable or unwilling to raise their own children, they were cared for by close family eg aunt or uncle. Have you accounted for brothers and sisters of Archibald Kidd and Jessie Nairn to see if Agnes is a sibling, or wife of a sibling, of Archibald or Jessie? She married at the age of 20. Apparently her mother didn't want her so someone else raised her. That's why I have been searching the census but can't see her in any year from the year she was born. I'm going into the public records of Victoria tomorrow but don't know really where to start. I'm just trying to work out this missing 20 years of her life. Anything would help. I have him in a number of censuses with more children and he died 1907- he was a retired engine fitter in 1901 with a number of children still at home - his wife, Emma Jane was born in Cornwall 1852 - this was a second marriage - his first marriage was to Martha b abt 1830 in Surrey . Girls from middle class families might feature in the social pages of newspapers, but I suspect that Louisa left school at ~ 14yrs, worked for a few more years before marrying. Is her father Archibald Kidd the man who was killed in vehicle accident Oct 1911 at Preston, age 54yrs?
