I have a mug shot of him taken in 1894 but didn't have the details of his case. He was gaoled previously for stealing cattle. His wife Ann was only 15 when they married. I think it must have been a hard life for them. The plot thickens when it comes to Joseph Lee. It is hard to be sure which is the right Joseph. 1. [AUS-VIC] Gippsland Guardian on Trove
    2. Linda Barraclough
    3. Hi Everyone, Wellington Shire Heritage Network is delighted to announce that the Wellington Shire Council has provided $4,000 of the $7,300 necessary to have the Gippsland Guardian, published at Port Albert 1855 to 1868, placed on Trove. This is Gippsland's earliest newspaper, predating the Gippsland Times, which is up on Trove from 1861. Many of the early Gippsland residents came in first to Port Albert, then moved up onto the plains and the goldfields. Maffra and District Historical Society has guaranteed to lend the balance so it can happen as soon as possible. So we are out fundraising. You can follow our progress on [1]http://maffrahs.blogspot.com.au/2012/09/gippsland-guardian-fundraising.ht ml We will be announcing on there when it is online. Regards Linda References 1. http://maffrahs.blogspot.com.au/2012/09/gippsland-guardian-fundraising.html

    3. I have James Kerr March, living at 125 Albert st Windsor or Prahran in the 1980 Electoral Lists. How would I find out when he died and where he was buried. He is not at Kew, Springvale or St Kilda Cemetery. The address goes back as far as 1931 on Electoral Rolls for his Father Charles March. So it must have been a family Home. Where can I find any info on the house. In late Oct we will be staying at springvale and traveling to St Kilda cemetery. And I want to go to the Victorian archives as well. And ideas on how to do extra research on the March family will be most helpful. Thanks Kitty at Nhill In Victoria
