    3. Hi from across the ditch. A niece of my ggrandmother Ellen Pridmore married in NZ to a Richard Joseph Greening in 1883, and I see on a FH website, that a man of that name died in 1894 Richmond Victoria Australia.I would be grateful if someone could confirm. With such an unusual name I see in NZ, a rather unscrupulous person with the name Ellen Greening Suggate and husband trying to sell land in NZ in 1920. Any chance she remarried? or even a child? many thks penne --- This email is free from viruses and malware because avast! Antivirus protection is active. http://www.avast.com

    3. Thanks to Eileen for the info below. I can see that her father's names were shortened. What could they have been? ?? John Joseph?? I'm wondering if she ever married? 3. Greetings, I am new to this list and I'm wondering if anyone has any info on these two ladies. Mrs James Davis is from Casterton and Miss Florence Crossley is from Newbridge. I believe they both worked for the Red Cross and sent knitted goods and other necessities to the soldiers in France and elsewhere in WW1. Any info on these ladies would be much appreciated. My grandmothers first name escapes but her maiden name was knowles. I never met her but she married Terence Hynes and had 3 daughters Dorothy (deceased) Annie Ellen (Nancy) (deceased) and the youngest was Val. They all lived in the Shepparton area, but when my grandmother passed from cancer the 3 daughters were sent to a convent for schooling. Apparently the wicks family weren't keen on my grandmother marrying Terence and I believe may have cut her off somewhat. When she passed they tried to take the youngest daughter but grandad would not split them up. My mother is Annie and she passed 10 years ago and took most info with here. There is only Aunt Val left now. Dorothy was a spinster, Val has 1 daughter and my mother had 2 boys then 2 girls. I have Anton's wife's name as Margaret Kate Heur from Germany but see a different name given. I hope you still check these threads. I will check back often. Regards, Andrea Mitchell.
