    3. Val There is no record for Mary Scott Pearce or Mary Scott for 1917 The death certificate if you have one could show a possible Inquest, if not nothing was done. Perhaps a look at TROVE might help. Elaine On Sun, Mar 23, 2014 at 10:22 PM, Val Date <[email protected]> wrote: > Is anyone able to search the Victorian Inquests CD please? I know there are other sites listing a George Burrell Knowles but he comes from the wrong area according to George and Annie Wicks wedding certificate. My great grandfather came from Kent in England and I have located a George Wraight Knowles in Ashford, Kent. The Wicks side is my great, great grandmothers side where she came out from Germany with her father Anton Wicks (or more likely Wichs). My research has shown most Knowles originated from York so perhaps check out this area. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. If this is the right John he died a pauper in Beechworth and little detail remains but you could try to contact Terry at the cemetery. I have his email address. I am thinking if he was deported he would have gone to New South Wales or Tasmania as these were the core destinations for convicts BUT he could have served his time and made his way down to the Beechworth goldfields. Hope this helps.....Jennifer Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
