Hello again everyone, We have been able to find out more about Samuel Morrison’s convict experience, so thank you to all who contributed. We haven’t found out much more about John McNamara from the time he was baptised in West Hobart in 1864 till he bobbed up in WA at the age of 24. There is a Newspaper article on TROVE about an 11 yr old boy who confronted a snake in John McNamara’s street in West Hobart which may have been him….right age, right street. Still we are delighted to hear, in response to our Rootsweb cry for help, from one of Hugh Morrison’s (father of Samuel Morrison the convict) descendants and fill in a few Western Australian blanks together.
