    1. [AUS-Tas] Edward COPPING - Convict
    2. Len Heyward
    3. Hi List; I am looking for any information on Edward COPPING who was born about 1798 in England and came to Tasmania as a convict on the "Lady Castlereagh" in 1818. He died in 1855 at Sorell, Tasmania. He has variously been described as a Publican, Goldsmith, and Farmer, but very little has as yet been proved. However, it is known that Edward was the Licensee for the Edinburgh Castle Hotel in Harrington Street, Hobart, from May 1839 to November 1839 - just six months. Any further info would be appreciated. Len Heyward - Melbourne
