Unusual surname should make this easy!? Born in Devon UK in 1803, he was transported for 14 years to Tasmania on York 1 in 1829. In 1844 he re-offended and had 2 years added to his sentence “sent to Glenorchy Roads”. I have seen his convict records and “Troved” several variations of his surname (which is probably Dutch), but it all seems to stop around 1844 ,apart from a note to say he was “free” in 1849. Any information of what became of him would be gratefully received. Also happy to assist other researchers from this neck of the woods. Thanks and greetings from an almost tropical Devon Peter
