Hi Listers, Just wondering if anyone is researching or come upon this couple? They were married in Hobart, 2 Nov.1831. They had two children I could find, George Walter born 1835, Hobart and Christina born 1839 at Muddy Plains, Clarence. John apparently had a shop in Murray Street. In 1837,his wife Susannah appears to have left him for some period and John was in company with a Mary Ann Topham through 1838. There is an article on Trove about this little adventure. The couple must reconciled because they had another child, Christina in 1839. Now at Clarence perhaps to escape Mrs Topham ??. There were another John and Susannah Davis, both convicts married in 1841 and I'm just trying to get a distinction between the two couple in later years but there appears to be very little on the earlier married couple.
