Hi Clare, I have made up a full set of rough Flood family Charts, filling in details as I find them, to put into my familytree maker program.. So would be willing to scan them to you and maybe you can add any dates I may have missed, or correct if you see fit. I have seen the TPI and the TASFED index and have the Tamiot, but you may have others, I will do some more checking myself. . I have been in touch with many researching the family over the years, checking originals where possible. Now as for Ann Gorman being Joseph Floods wife, I can tell you that early on in my research, I either sent for it myself or some kind researcher sent it to me, a copy of John Flood the first son of Josephs baptism 24 September 1797. It came from the NSW Registration of Births, Deaths and Marraige act 1973. It clearly states father Joseph Flood and mother Ann Germaine. John was one of five to this couple. It was a true copy of particulars recorded in a register of St Philips, Sydney, Church of England. Ann Germaine, alias Jarmy, was already here when Joseph Flood arrived in 1793. She was a convict who had arrived on the Mary Ann., 9th July 1791. Ann Gorman is mentioned in the Freemans journal of April, 1793, so still in Ireland. Joseph arrived here in August 1793 to NSW. I dont think there was a marraige as Ann Germaine married a chap named Howell later. Seems Joseph had a relationship with both women though. regards Edie ----- Original Message ----- From: "Gene Bear" <gene2bear@gmail.com> To: "Edie" <eamca@bigpond.com>; <AUS-TASMANIA@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, July 04, 2014 1:19 PM Subject: Re: [AUS-Tas] Joseph FLOOD, born Dublin c1763-1808, convict per "BODDINGTON" arrd NSW 1793 from Cork. Greetings Edie, from another descendant with a sore head from bashing at the Brick Wall that is Joseph FLOOD! >From the info you gave it would seem we are at a similar point in our research, though I finally decided on Ann GORMAN as his ‘wife’, not Ann GERMAINE... what a mixup of names and dates there!! I’m descended from your John Thomas FLOOD’s big sister, Mary Ann FLOOD (1821-1871), who married James BRUMBY (1811-1855).
