I am trying to find information as to where my gggrandfather, John Moore, was buried, and contact any of his other descendants. He died at the Royal Hobart Hospital in Feb 1872. The hospital records state he was “buried by friends”. The Mercury 7 Feb 1872 stated that “the funeral will leave his late residence, corner Warwick and Argyle Streets this day”. There is no mention of a cemetery. John arrived in Tasmania as a convict on Sir Charles Forbes in 1830. He married Mary Ann Berry in 1836. I believe they had at least the following children: Richard (c1845-1897 – my ggrandfather), John Henry (1842-?), Mary Ann (1847-?), Grace (1852-1934 – m. Phillip Glock), Esther (c1840/6-1906 –m1 James Taylor, m2 William Gord) and Charles (1838-1903). Alan Lüdeke
