Hi Alan, Given that John Moore was living on the corner of Warwick and Argyle Street and was protestant/Anglican he was most likely a parishioner of Holy Trinity Church, which is just up the hill from there. I've got access to a few of Holy Trinity baptisms and John Henry Moore appears there bapt. 7 Aug. born 2 June 1842 when John and Ann Moore were living at Veterans Row. (now upper Murray Street) John's rank is listed as Carter. So the most likely place he was buried might be the old Trinity graveyard which was located on the corner of modern Burnett Street and the Brooker Highway, Now a schools oval/ recreation ground. If I get the opportunity I will try to verify if this is where he was buried or not. The General Hospital Death Book (HSD145/1/1) has February 1872, Ward 7, Name - Moore, John, Age - 76, Rel. - P(rotestant), Cond. - FS, Date of Add. - 6 Dec 1871, Disease - Morbus Cordis, Ship - C. Forbes, Date of Death - 5 Feb. 1872, Where born - Somerset, Trade - Groom, Residence - (cut off page) Cheers, Peter On Sun, Sep 14, 2014 at 4:53 PM, Alan Lüdeke <aus-tasmania@rootsweb.com> wrote: > I am trying to find information as to where my gggrandfather, John Moore, > was buried, and contact any of his other descendants. > > > > He died at the Royal Hobart Hospital in Feb 1872.
