    3. G/'day Ainslee....firstly, and most importantly, iI have not lightly dismissed the results of my search for Thomas Hite: throwing a blanket over the results indicates that someone might think that a a particular matter is being covered up...in this case far from what we are trying to achieve. many branches of the Hite family want to know what, if any connection there is to Aboriginal heritage. I personally believe that this will be the next Convict Heritage.. What I said was Together with some members of the Hite Family I have done a considerable amount of research and proved that it is 99.99% NON FACTUAL. The most important thing in family History [Genealogy] is ensure that it is correct in every detail...ie give a credible Source Reference...in the case of this Thomas Hite there just isn't any. Of course this doesnt mean to say the story is not correct....Samuel Hite spent some time as a sheep herder in outback tasmania and was involved with the Brady Bushranger Saga, so he could have had a relationship. My point is that the research failed to prove the Thomas Hite story had no basis in known fact...you are more than welcome to contact me off list.. Regards George [chuditch@iinet.net.au]
