Hi Marcelle Peter and I posted conflicting items at exactly the same time. It seems there were 2 Robert Bains from Moray in Scotland. They both went to Tas and only one stayed. They were most likely related. Peter seems to have hit on the right one though. There is a Robert Bain born to this couple in Adelaide, 27 March 1848, Ann Bain born in Adelaide, 3 June 1850 and a Janet Anderson Bain born Fryers' Creek, Victoria in 1856. There is an Isabella Bain died Landsborough, Victoria in 1886 age 71. Parents Alexander Anderson and Isabella unknown. Robert Bain died at Sandhurst, Victoria 1881 aged 65. Parents were Alexander and mother Christina Lamb... So we know where the daughters name came from???
