I wonder if your "Gregory" family are related to the NW Coast Gregory family who ran the good old Central Hotel in Burnie for many, many years? I lived in that establishment off and on when I was employed by PMG's Department. Alas the "Central" succumbed to progress in the 1970's, ignominiously serving as a temporary Police HQ for a while, and now demolished with government offices of some sort in its place. I think I have some historical info on the Gregory's if that would help. Their eldest daughter was Holly Irene (can't find a birth). The puzzle is a certain George TIDEY (b.1891) who names Holly Clarke (nee Newton) on his army records as his next of kin (sister). I have no idea who he is of where he might come from.
