Cockerell, sailed for Melbourne: http://trove.nla.gov.au/ndp/del/article/36262200 though there is no mention of Benjamin: December 23 [1851]. - Sailed the schooner Ellen andMary, 27 tons, John Hills, master, for Melbourne.Cargo - 4 horses, 1 cart, Alford. Thanks Elaine and everyone on the list who has written -This is my website and I wrote the article you quote from. It's also the information copied verbatim most times by a zillion others and placed all over the Internet. I'm now aware of the reason why I can't find Benjamin's death certificate now thanks to all those kind people who wrote about the July 1853 Vic. registration start date aswell.
