Hi List Does anyone know of a place named Tyeena, also Tyeena General Cemetery? I have a BATCHELOR, Lenna May, (nee Bramich) who is supposed to have died on 12/05/1973 in Tyeena (unsourced of course). I cannot find her death or burial, I need you help again please. Thank you, regards Sue

Hi Sue, Tyeena General Cemetery headstone photos are recorded on 'Gravesites of Tasmania'. Sue, looks like I had a hit at http://server2.admin.millingtons.com.au:81/ASP/search_details.asp?RecordID=8 1337 http://www.millingtons.com.au/records-search It appears from the records that she was cremated, not buried, on 15 May 1973. Tyenna is a place betwixt and between Maydena and Mt Field. It is a place to the north of New Norfolk and is classed as being up in the top end of the Derwent Valley.
