    3. Hi Jill, I can find no evidence of Samuel marrying or dying in Tas up to 1899. Samuel's marriage to Maria Tuney. You know she was only 19 years old, so it is very likely that he shaved off a few years to record his age as 28 rather than about 36 which he may well have been. This happened a lot. I'd be curious to know who the other Samuel Nelson's were in SA. The one who married in 1878, aged 60 (his birth year is a lot closer to 1816). And the one who died in 1886, aged 75. Is it possible either of these are the one from Tas? But I guess you've already looked into this. Chris. Adelaide.
