The Family Tree on Ancestry has got part of the couple right. The Thomas Hill that died at Macquarie Street 18 Sept 1872 is Rod's man. The Mary Hill that died 16 May 1871 isn't. She died at the General Hospital. In the Book of Deaths (HSD481) she is recorded as being in the Bridget Wing. Name; Huxley ux Hill, Mary, Age 42, RC, F.S., Date of Add: 9 Jan 1871. Disease; Carcinoma Uteri, Ship; Maria, Date of Death: 16 May 1871, Where born; Cork, Trade; Servant. Rod's Mary Ann continues to elude identification...
