Hi List, I have been asked to write an article for our Devonport writers group publication set for early in 2015. I wish to write an article about the two brothers who served in the 2nd 40th Battalion in WW2 these two brothers died during their service in Timor and as a POW during a sea journey to Japan. I am looking for some info in regards to their life from birth and their life prior to joining the AIF. Can anyone help please? Best Regards Tas --- This email has been checked for viruses by Avast antivirus software. http://www.avast.com
You didn't give us their names Tas but I am aware of two Cooper brothers from Lower Wilmot, who would have been 2/40th and suffered that fate when their POW ship was torpedoed by an American submarine late in the war.
