    3.  Hi Listers, Thankyou very much to those who assisted me with my last enquiry. I am very grateful for your help. I have another request for help with finding any information on the following three people. 1. I have been having problems finding information on twins, Zoe Elizabeth Izard and Zena Izard. Daughters of George Edward? Izard and Clara Langley. From what i have found so far, they were born either in 1911 or 1912 in Tasmania. According to family members, there is aboriginality in the family but research so far has revealed no links. Suffice it to say that Zoe's daughter says that Zoe and her brothers were all aboriginal looking. We are wondering if the lack of birth details for the twins would have any connections to this fact. 2. The second look-up I would like to ask help for is to find information about a woman called Margaret Gorman who was married to a Sherwood in Tasmania. I have been able to find nothing so far. 3. The 3rd person was Elizabeth Long? married to Edward W Sherwood, the brother of Margaret Gorman's husband. Elizabeth's surname was not very clear on the headstone, so we may be reading it incorrectly. We have information about the Sherwoods, but need to find information about the wives. I also want to say that I think you all do an amazing job and are very generous with your assistance. If ever i need a detective, I shall come here first. with thanks in anticipation Liz If you say you understand, then you must take responsibility. If you do not take responsibility, then you do not understand. Elizabeth Russell-Arnot. June 2005

    3. Hi Is there anyone who could do a lookup from a Library from the Advocate Newspaper for about 15 Nov 1966 for a Peggy Marie DELL, or could be under Margaret Marie DELL. She was buried at Penguin General Cemetery on 16th Nov. 1966. Thanks Joy Light

    3. Hi Liz, Not sure if this gives a line of enquiry but you mention George Edward Izard and Clara Langley as being parents of Zoe and Zena Izard. There was a Private George Edward Izard killed in WW1 and his dossier says he was the SON of George Charles and Clara Izard, born Evandale Tas. circa 1895-96. http://recordsearch.naa.gov.au/NameSearch/Interface/ItemDetail.aspx?Barcode=7361081 His physical description doesn't seem to indicate an aboriginal background but you can never be certain?? Zoe Izard is recorded in Examiner 6 July 1931 - EVANDALE At the Evandale police court on Saturday morning, before Mr. J. MacLean and Dr S. R. McCausland, J.P., Inspector A. W. Eyles prosecuting. Zoe Izard (19), Gertrude Wilson (I8), and Florence Mary Grant (17), all residents of Launceston, were charged with having on Friday been found wandering about Nile, having no visible means of subsistence. They pleaded guilty, and promised to separate, and return to their respective homes. Evandale Court or police charge books might yield a clue to her ethnicity? George Izard Sr. appears in the Examiner 2 Nov 1938 - IZARD.-George, dearly beloved husband of the late Clara Izard, of Launceston, passed away on 29th October, at the Warragale Hospital, Gippsland, Victoria, in his 69th year. Rest in peace. (Mainland papers please copy.) Little bit fuzzy on the Sherwood boys and their wives? Are you talking about Edward William Sherwood who died at Perth in 1925 age 84? and what was the name of Edwards brother who married Margaret Gorman? Might be able to expand if had a few more details...
