    1. [AUS-Tas] Perpeptuated mistakes condoned by the AOT

    3. Dear All, In my previous message in response to Malcolm's email regarding the Colonial Links site I wrote that I was astonished by the way the AOT allowed mistakes in the Colonial Links site to be "perpetrated" - I meant to write "perpeptuated". But maybe they are both pertinent and relevant terms, now I come to think of it! On a lighter note, I feel that the convict Louis Cohen per Lonach had the right idea about the way I feel about this topic. At Port Arthur on January 21 1834 he was accused of "Obstinately persisting in making a disturbance in the belly while under sentence for a previous offence" and the poor soul was give a sentence of "7 days solitary confinement on bread and water in addition to his former sentence." (I had to use this gem somewhere after I stumbled across it recently, and where better?) Sorry Meryl for my levity. Carol Brill.

I wonder what the poor fellow was fed to give him "a disturbance in the belly" while under sentence? Hopefully bread and water cured his complaint <smile>. Patricia
