    2. Dear All, I have been sent a photo of a watch that has the letters of the owner’s name rather than numbers as usual, can anyone comment on whether this was a usual practice in the mid 1880s? The watchmaker was in Launceston, his name was James Barclay. Described as a chronometer, watch and clock maker from London. Helen Brown
