I have seen an old report that Robert Whalley was a convict who was sentenced to 7 years transportation to VDL at Lancaster in 1820. He supposedly received his Freedom Certificate at Hobart Town in 1827. There is no source given for this information and I am quite lost with Convict records, research and resources.
