RE Gateway Baptist Church LAUNCESTON. I recently requested full details regarding the registration of the 1908 (January I think) marriage of Ada LUTTRELL and Alfred Ernest AVERY. Their reply stated they have Marriage records prior to 1895 and after 1910, but unfortunately the records for the period of time between those dates has been misplaced or may have even been lost. Would anyone know if those records are somewhere else please? I know I could pay $40 plus for a copy of the certificate from official sources, but am virtually cashless! The need to know what was written on the marriage certificate in relation to the parents etc of the bridal copy is because of the confusion created by the apparent union of Ada Isobel MANSFIELD nee STANLEY with an Ernest Alfred AVERY, resulting in total confusion for everyone who is researching both families, with an overlap of wrong deductions as to who was who! I know it is a long shot, but someone might just be able to offer a viable solution for me, I'm hoping that will be the case anyway, as are the descendants of Ada Isobel! Regards, Val Date
