Bullwinkle (Bullwinkel?)? the name of the book "White Coolies" comes to mind too, but I do not know if it was in that book or another along similar lines that the incident was told. It bought to mind something my mothers talked about - I did listen this time. She talked about a Nursing Sister who used to work at the Launceston General Hospital and was from Launceston. She was a prisoner in Malaysia or Singapore I think. She survived the war by feigning death but she returned to Launceston and I remember my mother going to her funeral which I think was held in the Chapel at Cosgrove Park. My mother must have known this brave lady to go to her funeral. Is there someone out there who would know who this was please.
