Hi Anthony, a George Williams appears in the 1873-74 Electoral Rolls as having leasehold land at Fingal. Doesn't appear in later or earlier years. . The *Electoral district of Fingal* was a single-member electoral district of the Tasmanian House of Assembly <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tasmanian_House_of_Assembly>. It was based around Fingal <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fingal,_Tasmania> in Tasmania <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tasmania>'s east and also included the coastal towns of St Marys <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St_Marys,_Tasmania> and St Helens <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St_Helens,_Tasmania>, and inland districts such as Avoca <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avoca,_Tasmania> and Mathinna <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mathinna,_Tasmania>. If they moved further up the coast beyond Lisdillon at Little Swanport this might be him. Hi Peter Thanks for your message. I suspect that the George Williams on the Electoral Rolls 1873-1874 was another George who married Anna or Annie DANCEY - the last seven of their nine children were born at Fingal between 1863 and 1877. I am trying to sort out the some of the WILLIAMS families of the east coast, north east, north, and north west of Tasmania. I have a theory drawn from family stories that some of them are closely related to my WILLIAMS-BEACH (or BEECH) family.
