    3. I saw a couple of threads on other genealogical lists regarding John Vincent Terry and hiss family. I saw how confusing some of the research was and ... "UH UH, not going there !!". If you look in the newspaper articles in Victoria regarding the "disgrace" it appears Mary Ann O'Connor and Mr Terry were married in 1858 and she divorced him in 1861. The divorce is in the PROV indexes online. John Hammond and Emma Terry just before they married in 1880 laid "threatening" charges against one another 21 Feb 1880. I thought they might be in Launceston police charge book (POL450/1/2) but alas because they withdrew the charges they weren't entered. Based on other entries in the book either side of that date the information would have given their identities more flesh... 3. Just out of interest, is the 'Wayguna' mentioned a Murray River Paddleboat?? There is a PS WAHGUNYAH built in 1866 in Wahgunyah, Victoria by Terry & Pattison. Can give further info if required.
