Hi List, Thanks to Trove I have the following notice – but where are the birth records for these twins? Also James Augustine McCullagh married Annie Edwards in 1877 in Longford RC – describing himeself as a bachelor (starts off as a shoemaker then turns into a butcher before passing away in Evandale in 1889). No marriage of a McCullagh to a Watts. If I have the right John Watts – his sisters both had illegitimate families with married men, but surely John wouldn’t put a marriage notice in the papers of three colonies if the information wasn’t correct? 1866: At the residence of her father, Hobart Town, Mr. John Watts, the wife of Mr. James August McCullogh of twins, daughters. Mother and daughters doing well. Melbourne and Sydney papers please copy. Can anyone identify who this daughter (Miss Watts/Mrs McCullagh) is? Or even the twins names?
