For those like me who want to know addresses in Tasmania in the 1870's, there is a valuable resource online called The Gardens - Family History. The surnames from the Valuation Roll have been extracted and compiled into two alphabetical surname lists for 1875. It details street names, description and number of the property, name of the occupier and owner and value of the property. It covers Brighton, Campbell Town, Deloraine, Green Ponds , Evandale, Fingal, Glenorchy, Hamilton, Hobart, Longford, New Norfolk, Oatlands, Ross and Westbury.
