Hi Michelle, Just a query? Was your John Watts family Roman Catholic? Hi Michelle, Found this baptism which seems to be a match for part of your query but only for one child. There was no twin recorded before or after the entry nor any reference right up until 1869 where I stopped looking. St Johns the Evangelist, R.C., Richmond (baptisms - NS1052/1/3 pg. 43) 1866 Tempus Natus - 20 Sept. Tempus Baptismatis - 21 Oct. Name - Honorah Filius vel Filia - Girl Nomina Parentum - James McCullogh. Ann Watts Nomina Patrinorum - Patrick Murphy, Catherine Moore A me. - Michael J Beechinor There is also the death of a 4 month old child, Ann Watts at Richmond in 1867 - http://stors.tas.gov.au/RGD35-1-36p136j2k Whether this is the same child that was baptised or the twin I don't know? Could they have shortened Honorah to Ann?? or named the twins Honorah and Ann? I based my search on a punt looking for McCulloghs and Watts in the same vicinity. They both appeared in the newspapers at Richmond. I have a suspicion that James August/ine McCullagh was a child of Simon and Ann (Cunningham) McCullagh. She died in childbed 1844. James McCullough was born circa 1843, Did he survive and his mother die? Simon McCullagh or McCulloch had the "Union hotel" at Richmond. A John Watts appears in 1867 wanting to rent or lease a farm at Richmond. I think the use of "Hobart Town' in the advertisement was a pretty broad descriptive if the children were actually born at Richmond??
