Hi again Have found ( I think) parents of Annie Armitage She was listed on the Tas Pio as female name not known 1866 to parents Hannah Walker and Henry Alfred Armitage, Her mother Hannah Walker born about 1844 Launceston to Mary Faudry and Francis Walker Need to know more on this Her father ? still looking and Am I correct in thinking they were convicts of some crime? or free? Hi Elaine, Might be dragging a red herring across the path here but at the marriage of Henry Armitage and Hannah Walker one of the witness' was an Edmund Walker - http://stors.tas.gov.au/RGD37-1-20p324j2k An Edmund and Jane/Hannah Walker were having children in Launceston and an Ann was born to them 1845 - http://stors.tas.gov.au/RGD32-1-3-p592j2k Could Ann have translated to Hannah at some point? Might be worth further investigation?
