    3. Hi Trish, Your hopes for their attendance to the Deloraine Church are fulfilled !! St Marks C of E, Deloraine (built 1859 (earlier wooden structure built 1847) baptism register page 13 has John Close bapt. 22 March 1857, born 25 Feb. 1856 to Thomas and Ann Close, Abode: Drumleagh, Rank: Farmer. Have Margaret Dunn/e's origins been revealed? I know she was a daughter of Dennis and Madeline (Smith) Dunne because they were witness' at her wedding to John in 1881. Has her birth circa 1860 been found? 3. Peter Kisses, hugs and great scenes of jubilation happening! Thank you so much for that look up! There is a discrepancy with the birth date the unnamed male was registered with - 10 Oct 1856 compared to 25 Feb 1856 on the baptismal record. Would they have had time limits within which they had to register births, or maybe it was a random date, given that Thomas was illiterate so the passing of dates and times weren't easy to track! Thank you once again Trish Grey Darwin NT On Thu, Oct 16, 2014 at 11:56 AM, Peter Oakley <pete.j.oakley@gmail.com> wrote: > Hi Trish, > > Your hopes for their attendance to the Deloraine Church are fulfilled !! > > St Marks C of E, Deloraine (built 1859 (earlier wooden structure built > 1847) > baptism register page 13 has John Close bapt. 22 March 1857, born 25 Feb. > 1856 to Thomas and Ann Close, Abode: Drumleagh, Rank: Farmer. > > Have Margaret Dunn/e's origins been revealed?
