Thank you for your messages and help Meryl, Peter, Karlene. Lyn, Edie and Heather. I have had confirmation for the baptism of Andrew Godfrey STUART from St James Melbourne, however they couldn't find any other children in their records. I think Andrew and Mary came to Tasmania between 1841 and 1843, as I have found Sophia's birth in Spring Bay, Tas, Sept 1843. I haven't been able to find their actual passage from Williamstown to Tasmania. thanks, Rose
Could he have been born on board ship and mentioned in the ships manifest. Hi Rose, Was Andrew Godfrey Stuarts birth or baptism in Melbourne before 21 July 1841? There was a Mr and Mrs STEWART and one child who arrived from Port Phillip to Hobart on the brig 'Lord Hobart"on the 26 July 1841 - https://stors.tas.gov.au/CSO92-1-7$init=CSO92-1-7p15jpg If it was them it may have taken Andrew Thomas Stuart some time to get his affairs in order and they may have resided in Hobart for some months befor moving to the East Coast. George Joseph may have been born in Hobart and his baptism (I doubt birth registration) may be tucked away in one of the Hobart registers? Cheers, Peter

According to the Hutcchins enrollment for Andrew and George it mentions Port Arthur, Peter. He may have been posted there.
