The link gives information on Samuel Speed, Julie. So true, too and when Robson wrote that history AOT had an embargo. This was noted on all convict records held by them on microfilm. "The information contained in these records must not be used in any manner likely to cause pain or embarrassment to any living person" .. Samuel Speed could have been some relative of mine as my gt granny was Susan Annie Speed born 1862 and married at Moreton Essex, her father Joseph 1833 and his father James Speed born 1771 unkn place at this stage.
