    3. Thanks Bob & Peter, Its all unraveling now! I got the UK connection thanks Bob. Alfred's sister Eva Kendrick arrived in 1957 with husband and daughter. Alfred obviously arrived before 1926 but haven't found which ship he arrived on. No Alfred and too many with just the initial A. I had thought that Selina may have been previously married since I could never find her on the ER. I have had correspondence with a couple of her nieces but none knew of any other marriage apart from that with Alfred... and they may have been even defacto as you say. Plenty to go on now. Thanks once again. Perhaps Selina married a Mr Jacobson who died and she then married Alfred Clifton Allen. Also, there is an Alfred Clifton Allen born about 1902 Kent, Greenwich, England. He is on the 1911 census as a 9 yr old grandson of Alfred 64 and Anna 62 Allen. Along with another grandson George Enos Allen 15 and a granddaughter Eva Maude Allen 5. Also there is Alfred and Anna's sons Alfred 35 and Robert 17. There are 2 daughters of Alfred and Anna as well, Ellen 26 and Ada 21. They were residing in 325 Upton Lane, Forest Gate, London, England. This will give you plenty to think about Robert, happy hunting. Wonder why she is buried with them and what relationship they might have to her? Cheers, Peter

    3. Hi Bob Robert and Peter I Have Selina Martin Jacobson as the daughter of William Jacobson (died 16 August 1949) and Edith Annie Stebbeings. In William's obit it states that the chief mourners were Mrs Jacobson (Widow), Rean ( adopted daughter) etc etc. There is no mention of any other children. It seems from your information that she may be the daughter of Quinn. When Edith died 13 April 1979 she left a considerable amount to her daughter Selina Martin Allen who lived with her. 3. That would explain a lot... Just had a look at the marriage between Alfred and Millicent on 10 July 1926, St Andrews Presbyterian. Alfred Clifton stated he was born in London, England and his parents were George Allen ,Carpenter and Ada Allen (nee Pratt) Age 25, Occupation: Butcher. From an earlier email Robert you appear to already be aware of the UK link. Had a look in the Examiner for a death notice for Selina but nothing between the 15th to 21 Feb 2000 at all. Not even a funeral notice.
