Hi List , After a walk along the wharf area in Launceston we came across the L W Smith building ,was this the old Rapson Tyre Company factory as well ?. A sign on these buildings would be of interest to people. Hoping some kind person can answer this for us. Also on the same walk we saw what I believe to be the hull of the dredge "Ponrabbel" if this is so it sad to see our history just rotting away. The dredge played a big part in our river's history.My grandfather worked on this vessel at George Town,helping to remove the " Porpoise Rock". Regards Pat
