    3. Hi List, I would like to ask a question about something I once knew the answer to. I need to ask the question because I've forgotten the answer. I will be asking the good people at the State Archives about it, but I thought I'd run it by this mailing list first, just in case someone might happen to know ...... The question relates to the records of cases heard in petty sessions at Campbell Town Lower Courts. The Tas State Archives online catalogue indicates that they have the following collections in their series: • LC83/1/1 Record of cases 06 Jan 1835 06 Feb 1836 • LC83/1/2 Record of cases 22 May 1837 08 May 1838 And so on after this. What I am interested in is the gap in the records between 06 Feb 1836 and 22 May 1837. Now I *know* these records still exist. I know this because I held them in my hot little hands once upon a time. That is to say ... I held microfiche copies of them. I *know* that the date range was correct, because I have a small bucketful of notes transcribed from them. Somehow or other I got the clue that they still existed, and I pestered the staff at the Archives about it. Eventually someone managed to find them -- after around 30 minutes of searching -- tucked into a box of other unrelated microfiches where they were not really supposed to be. But now I can't find them again and I've forgotten how I found them in the first place. Does anyone know anything that can help to re-locate them? (And maybe, to get the Archives people to re-file and re-catalogue them.) Douglas
