She was supposedly born in Hobart on 2 September 1979. I am trying to find out the names of her parents. I believe she had a sister May Ellen Louisa Lyons who was born 29 September 1978. I found that they were admitted to St Joseph's orphanage on 15 April 1891 and another sister admitted on 2 January 1896. I went to the Library in Hobart and checked baptism records but unable to find any for the above named. On the death notice for Annie Rebecca Newcombe (NSW) nee Lyons her mother was recorded as being Annie Langdon. But I can't find any record of her either. On the admission papers to St Joseph's Orphanage two admission case numbers are given: for Annie Lyons - No. 4189 and for May Lyons - No. 2901. I tried to phone St Josephs yesterday without success to try and find out about the admission case numbers but they are closed until 13 January. Can somebody guide me please?
